I recently became fascinated with this topic after seeing a swap similar to this one by @AlyssD Most references give credit to the father of the 6 word story to Ernest Hemingway, who wrote: "For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn." Isn't that bleak and evocative and Hemingway-esque? lol! Since then it seems to have caught on like wildfire. Below are some on-line references to inspire you. My challenge to each of you is to write your own six-word-story and send it to 3 partners on a postcard, notecard, or letter. This swap is for fiction. The sister-swap is Six Word Memoirs for your own personal memoir. websites for reference. flicker -- I particularly like this one. | |
